About

Welcome to Part Time Tinting, where quality and commitment come together to provide you with the best window tinting services in Sebastian, FL. Allow us to introduce ourselves; we are Eli Goldstein and Susan Goldstein, the proud owners and operators of Part Time Tinting.

Our journey

My passion for window tinting started over 25 years ago when I began my career in a small local shop in Brooklyn, New York. Through dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence, I honed my craft, becoming a true expert in the field. However, life took an unexpected turn in 2005 when Susan suffered a stroke that left her disabled and in need of constant care. Balancing the demands of a full-time job with providing round-the-clock care for Susan became an immense challenge.

In 2014, we decided to take matters into our own hands and founded Road Runner Tinting and Auto Glass in Mesa, Arizona, where we had relocated to. The business took off at an astounding pace, but it soon became apparent that we were sacrificing precious time that should have been spent evenly with work and care. In 2017, we made the difficult decision to sell the business and pursue a new path.

I embarked on a career in Clinical Research, initially as an entry-level patient recruiter. My dedication and leadership skills quickly propelled me to the position of Regional Recruitment Manager, overseeing operations in 12 sites across four states. While professionally successful, it became evident that something was missing – happiness and quality time with my wife.

Residential Commercial Window Film Disclaimer

Appearance and Finish

  • Minor imperfections: Due to the nature of the installation environment, which often contains airborne dust and fibers, minor imperfections may be visible. These are generally not considered obtrusive when viewed from six feet away in natural daylight, as per International Window Film Association (IWFA) standards.

  • Curing time: Film may appear hazy, bubbly, or cloudy for 30–60 days as the mounting solution evaporates. This is a normal part of curing and will disappear once fully dry.

  • Edge gaps: A small gap is left around the edges of the film to allow proper water squeegeeing. This is necessary and does not indicate a faulty installation.

  • Adhesion: Film may not adhere perfectly to non-glass surfaces such as window frames, rubber seals, or dot-matrix patterns. The installer is not responsible for film performance in these areas.

Property Condition and Installation

  • Prior damage: The company is not liable for scratches, chips, cracks, or other pre-existing imperfections in glass or frames. Installation may make these issues more noticeable.

  • Excessive dirt: Customers must provide a reasonably clean work environment. Excessive dirt, pet hair, or debris may affect results. Additional cleaning fees may apply.

  • Customer-supplied film: The installer is not responsible for defects, performance issues, or warranty coverage on film provided by the customer.

  • Removal of old film: When removing existing film, the installer is not responsible for damage to glass, seals, or surrounding property.

Performance and Warranty

  • Privacy film: Privacy levels depend on lighting conditions. With reflective films, the “mirror” effect reverses at night, allowing visibility into the home when interior lights are on. The company does not guarantee 100% privacy.

  • Glass breakage: In rare cases, thermal stress may cause glass breakage. The manufacturer’s warranty is the sole remedy. The installer is not responsible for glass replacement.

  • Manufacturer’s warranty: Film warranty is provided by the manufacturer and is separate from the installer’s workmanship warranty. Customers should review manufacturer documentation for specific coverage.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

  • Deposit requirement: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total project cost is required to secure the installation date. This covers film ordering and reserves the installation team’s time.

  • Rescheduling/cancellations: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or failure to be available at the scheduled time, will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Forfeiture of deposit: Once the custom-ordered film has been cut for your project, the deposit is fully non-refundable, even if you cancel, as it covers material costs specific to your order.

  • Final balance: The remaining balance is due upon completion of installation.

Automotive Window Film Disclaimer

  • Aesthetic imperfections: Window film is applied by hand, and it is impossible to achieve a 100% flawless result. While the installer will take every precaution, minor dust particles, fibers, and small blemishes may be present. A curing period of 30-60 days is required for the film to fully adhere, during which minor haziness, streaks, and bubbles may be present. Final inspection should be done from a distance of six feet.

  • Dot matrix: The black, ceramic-dotted edges (dot matrix) on car windows are textured and prevent the film from adhering completely. This can cause a "silvering" or "blotchy" effect along the edges, which is not a defect but an unavoidable result of the manufacturing process.

  • Pre-existing damage: Any pre-existing scratches, chips, or surface imperfections on the glass or window seals may become more noticeable after tinting. The installer is not responsible for these pre-existing flaws.

  • Electrical components: The installation process uses a water-based solution. While precautions are taken, there is an inherent risk of water seeping into door panels and potentially damaging electrical components, including window motors, switches, sensors, and speaker systems.

  • Signal interference: Some metallic-based window films can interfere with radio, GPS, satellite radio, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) signals. The customer acknowledges this risk if choosing a metallic film.

  • Damage to defroster lines: Removing old or deteriorated film from the rear window carries a significant risk of damaging the defroster lines. The fragility of these elements is determined by the vehicle's manufacturer and is beyond the installer's control. I waive any claims against the installation company for damage to defroster lines during the removal process.
